James Coater Sr

Coater Sr., James N. View/Sign Guest Book COATER, JAMES N. SR., 83, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009, at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He retired as a chemical operator after 35 years of service with B.F. Goodrich, and was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps. Mr. Coater was a member of American Legion, St. Joseph's Orphan Society, and was a life member of VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Rita Kremer Coater; and son, James N. Coater Jr. He is survived by his sons, Sam, Paul (Darlene), Gary (Judy) and Tim Coater; daughters, Betty Sharpe (Wil) and Connie Coater; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. His funeral service will be 11a.m. Wednesday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons-Southwest, 4832 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 10a.m.-1p.m. and 2-9p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society or Mass of the Air.
