Darnell, James F. "Jimmy" View/Sign Guest Book DARNELL, JAMES F. "JIMMY," 86, of Shively, passed from this life on Sunday November 2, 2008 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a native of Nelson County, KY, a retired driver for the Kroger Co., a member of the Teamsters Local 89, St. Stephen United Church of Christ and a Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Jeanette Darnell. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Davis (George), and Carolyn Judd (Dan); brothers, Joe and Charles Darnell; a sister, Emilia McQuire; and a grandson, Justin Davis. A celebration of Mr. Darnell's life will be held at 10 am Wednesday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
