James Dukes

Dukes, James Howard,96, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Howard was a retired boiler operator for LG&E, a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, a former longtime member of Lees Lane Baptist Church, sang in gospel quartets for over 50 years, and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Turner Dukes. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Day (Earl); son, David Dukes (Barbara); grandchildren, Scott, Todd, Chris, Drew and Billy; and 13 great-grandchildren.His funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
