James Smith

James Ed Smith, 79, passed away on Thursday January 28, 2021 at Regency Center.

He was born to the late William Harrison and Minnie Agnes (Romans) Smith in Drakesboro, Kentucky on September 14, 1941.   He is also preceded in death by an infant daughter Patty Jean Smith and three siblings, June, Emma Jean, and Earl Wayne.

James retired from Phillip Morris, he was an Army veteran and enjoyed working outdoors in his yard.

He is survived by sisters Juanita Hoskinson, Jo A. Cottrell (Donald) and his brother Darrel Smith along with a special friend and neighbor, Wayne Mattingly.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Thursday from 2-6 pm at the funeral home.

Due to COVID restrictions masks are required during visitation and service and social distancing is expected.
