Hinton, James W. View/Sign Guest Book HINTON, JAMES W., 75, passed away at his home Wednesday, October 24, 2007. He was the son of James and Saint Clair Hinton, born December 26, 1931. Jim was a retired electrician working at the Detroit - Windsor Tunnel for 44 years and an Army veteran. Jim was a member of Southeast Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Ruby Langdon-Hinton; and one son, Danny Hinton. He is survived by his loving wife, Opal Hinton; three daughters, Janell Hinton, Sharon Dodt (Roger) and Kristi Goldener (Jim); a son, Darrell Embry (Vickie); nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of friends from Southeast Christian Church Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Southeast Christian Church. Family will receive guests at the Pearson - Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, Middletown, from 2 - 8 p.m. Thursday and again on Friday in the Fireside Room at the church from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Southeast Christian Church, Indiana Campus.
