James Johnson

James Ray Johnson, 81, husband to the late Julia Johnson, passed away on Thursday November 5, 2020 at Norton’s Women’s and Children Hospital.

He was born to the late Estil and Fern (Blanton) Johnson in Sweeden, Kentucky on March 2, 1939.  He is also preceded in death by grandson, James Thomas Johnson, sister Louella Johnson, brothers, John Henry Johnson, and Karl Johnson.

James retired from B. F. Goodrich, he was an Army veteran and a member of VFW Post #5421.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Anita Baldwin (Billy) and Carol Chambers (Jimmy), grandchildren, Candice Baldwin, Jesseica Melton and Billy Buehner (Kelsea), great-grandchildren, Makenna, Lilly, and Wyatt.  He will also be missed by siblings, Jack Johnson (Karen), June Basham, Carlos Johnson (Sandy) and Janice Sharpe.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Cerebral Palsy Association, 210 W Division Street, Syracuse, NY, 13204. (866 579 8495)

Funeral services will be held Friday at 5:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 until time of service.

Due to Covid restrictions masks are required during visitation and services and social distancing is expected.
