James Jones

JONES, JAMES C., 70, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church a graduate of Valley High School, the University of Louisville and received his masters from Western Ky. University. James was a teacher at Robert Frost Middle School before retiring to enjoying playing golf, a good cigar and reading. James is preceded in death by his loving parents, Lawrence and Flora Jones; three brothers, Carl, Clifford and Delbert; and sister-in-law, Ernestine. He is survived by two sisters, Delores T. Wilson, Ann Hopewell (Randy); brother, Lawrence "Larry" Jones (Brenda) and a host of many nieces nephews , great nieces and nephews. James maintained many life long friendships and will be sorely missed by family and friends alike. His funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. on Saturday and after 12 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that expressions be made to his church at 900 Denmark St. Louisville, KY, 40215.
