James "Ed" Kessler KESSLER, JAMES "ED," born March, 31, 1927 returned to his Heavenly Father at 5 a.m. on February 3, 2010 at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville, KY.
Ed was a retired maintenance supervisor at Georgetown Manor Nursing Home, Gagle Avenue, in Louisville. He lived most of his life in Louisville and moved to Elkton, KY in his later years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mable and William Kessler; brothers, Freddie and Donald Lee; sisters, Katherine Warner and Carolyn Smith; and his beloved wife, Emma.
Ed is survived by his brothers; Bill, Bobby, and Danny; sister, Bertha Thornton; stepson, Bruce Rager; and a daughter, Wanda.
Service will be held at O.D White and Son Funeral Home, Saturday at noon. Internment will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens, Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 p.m.
