LLOYD, JAMES C. "JIMMY," 82, of Louisville, passed away on October 16, 2013 at the Franciscan Health Care Center. Jimmy was born in Helenwood, TN on August 31, 1931. Jimmy was a tool and die-maker for International Harvester and Naval Ordnance and was known for his community spirit. He was a charter member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Masonic Plumb Lodge #862 where he was a 32nd degree Mason, past president of the Mill Creek Community Council, he was "Loco," the professional clown, and a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eamer Lloyd and Lillie Bell West Lloyd, brothers, Clyde and Clarence Lloyd; and sister Helen Hastey. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth (Saylor) Lloyd; three daughters, Deborah George (James), Pamela Starnes (Dan) and Jamie Simpson (Jeff); grandchildren, Christie Simons (Kevin), Jamie Bruno (Brett), Jessica, Jonathan (Marissa) and Jillian Simpson and Jordan Starnes (Elizabeth); and great-grandchildren, Jude, Lincoln, Paisley and Kellen. The family thanks the staff of Beehive Home Smyrna and Franciscan Health Care Center for the care provided to Jimmy. The family expresses gratitude to his nurse, Nicole O'Brien, for the highest quality of care she provided. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with entombment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013 and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. A Masonic service is scheduled Sunday at 7 p.m. The family requests memorial gifts be made to Cloverleaf Baptist Church, 4401 Manslick Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40216 or Helenwood Baptist Church, 235 Main St., Helenwood, TN, 37755
