Sanders, James A. View/Sign Guest Book SANDERS, JAMES A., 84, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Norton Hosparus Pavilion. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired machinist from Brown-Williamson. He was preceded in death by his wives, Roberta (Smith) Sanders and Sue (Hollis) Sanders; and a grandson, James "Greg" Crawford. He is survived by his children, Sherri Lynn Crawford, Paula Gail Mudd and Charlotte Rae Isbell (Dennis); step-children, Connie Snowden, Sharon Wolfe and Bill Hollis; a brother, Charles Sanders (Aileen); a sister, Ruby Hogan (Vergil); eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Wednesday.
