SCHLARB, JAMES A., 79, of Louisville, passed on May 18, 2011.
He was a chemical engineer for BF Goodrich and American Air Filter. James also was retired from the United States Postal Service and was a Patent holder. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a member of Christ Church United Methodist, former member of Valley View Country Club. He was a regular attendee of the Louisville Prayer Breakfast and a graduate of Rose Hulman Institute of Technology.
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife Virginia Schlarb; two children, David Schlarb (Sami) of Louisville and Lori McNutt (Kraig) of Franklin, TN; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Matthew and Leah McNutt; two sisters, Eleanor Jane Maddock of Broomfield, CO and Mary Joan Redding of Pendleton, IN.
A service to honor the life of James will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011 in the Sanctuary of Christ Church United Methodist, 4614 Brownsboro Road, with Dr. George Strunk presiding. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
