Strange, James "Jim" View/Sign Guest Book Donate Now STRANGE, JAMES "JIM," 77, of Shepherdsville, KY, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009 at his home after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Opal Strange; and a brother, Edward Leo Strange. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He served four years in the Navy, first on an oil tanker, the U.S. Kennbec, and a troop ship, the U.S. Mann. He was deeply loved and cherished by his family and all that knew him. He was a kind and gentle man with a winning smile and a heart of gold. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Leoda Strange; two daughters, Dr. Pamela Strange, of Ft. Wayne, IN and Anita Hatch (Doug), of Maryville, TN; and five grandchildren, Adam, Emily and Carter Hatch, Nick and Nathan White. The family would like to express appreciation for the love and care given by Angie Lusk, LaShanda and Brittney Rutledge, Louise Fields and Dave Erlenbach. The funeral service for Mr. Strange will be held noon Friday at Arch L. Heady & Son Okolona, with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
