TEDDER, JAMES M. "POPS," 61, of Shively, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed peacefully from this life on Friday June 8, 2012 at his home.
He was a former employee of American Standard, Lear Seating Co., a JCPS employee, a 1969 graduate of duPont Manual High School, an avid UK fan and golfer, and a member of Emmanuel Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W., and Dorothy Singer Tedder; and a sister, Vivian Craven.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, the former Donna Beams; his devoted daughter and son in-law, Tracy and Don Bradley; loving grandson, Armande "Little Man" Bradley; siblings, William and Larry Tedder, Marshall Tedder (Susie), Linda Leasor, Viola McGee, and Stanley Tedder (Laura); many devoted cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, including his adored pets, "Tabby", "Blade" and "Trinity".
A service to celebrate Jimmy's life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
