WHITEHOUSE, JAMES WILLIAM "BILL," 83, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Detroit, MI. to Joseph Hobart and Lucebra Elizabeth (Hays) Whitehouse.

"Bill" was a retired dispatcher for the K&I, Norfolk & Southern, and CSX Railroads. He was a member of the Ormsby Heights Baptist Church and was a U.S.Army Korean War veteran. He was a member of the Plumb Masonic Lodge # 862 F&AM, Scottish Rite and was a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Nicole Straw.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Rosemary (Elder) Whitehouse; his children, Alice E. Bryant (Chris), William "Joe" Whitehouse (Debbie) and Anna M. Carson (Rob); nine grandchildren, Travis, Aaron and Jessica Goff, Chris Whitehouse, Melissa Hobbs, Heather and Ashley Morris and Brennan and Brady Carson; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held noon Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday, noon - 8 p.m.
