James Wimsatt

WIMSATT, JAMES R., 77, passed away July 19, 2013 at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a catholic by faith, and Army veteran, had worked for Jay's Auto Sales , and a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 1181. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark D. Wimsatt; and stepson, Johnny Horrell. Survived by his wife of 30 years, Christine Horrell-Wimsatt; daughter, Angela J. Wimsatt; stepdaughters, Shirley Horrell-Frost and Carolyn Horrell-Wowk; sister, Gladys Mahaffey; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West). Visitation will be Monday 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
