Jean Pickup

Jean Elizabeth "Betsy" Pickup, 62, loving wife to Randy Pickup, passed away at home on Sunday July 10, 2016. She was the devoted daughter of the late Hiram and Rachel Batson Hutto, born in Birmingham, Alabama on May 2, 1954.
A woman of humble conviction to the Lord Jesus throughout her life, Betsy was a faithful member of the Shively Church of Christ. She served as the principal at Medora Elementary School for 9 years, inspiring countless children along with a dedicated staff.
Besides her husband of 40 years, she is survived by their sons Grant (Chelsea), Austin (Daphne) and Cameron Pickup along with grandchildren Caleb, Owen and Oliver Pickup, siblings Susan Kerr (Gary), Bob Hutto (Cherri), and Kay LaGrone (Russ), and many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Florida College Marty Pickup Scholarship Fund, 119 Glen Arven Avenue, Temple Terrace, FL 33617 (813 988-5131).
