Mrs. Sanders had worked for the Federal Land Bank and the State of Kentucky Department of Juvenile Services.
She was a member Shively Eastern Star #566, Bethany United Methodist Church and attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, John L. Sanders; daughter, Lois O'Brien (Harold); son, John Sanders II (Becky); grandchildren, Shannon & Aaron O'Brien; mother, Margaret Burress; sisters, Mary Sexton, Nancy Berg and Anna Pickerill; and brothers, Stanley, Joseph and Lewis Gaddie.
Her service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made the WHAS Crusade for Children.
