She was the former Jean Marie Higdon, born August 26, 1939 to the late William B. Higdon and Frances Blair, and was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Settles; grandchild, Kristin Settles; and brother, William Higdon..
Survivors are her husband, William F. Settles Jr.; son, Terry Settles (Darlene); daughters, Barbara Waddell (Duane) and Libby Mattingly (Rusty); grandchildren, Kyle, Trevor and Tucker Waddell, Brad Settles, Nicholas Mattingly and Brittany Settles; one great-grandchild; brothers, Thomas, Bob, Larry and Paul Higdon; and sisters, Carolyn Hamilton, Lee Smith, Frankie Visnaw, Dorothy Jett, Alicia Matthews and Cathy Lawson.
Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Dr., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Hwy., at Rockford Lane
