Jeanette Ashley

Jeanette Ashley, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 26, 1941, to the late Kelly Taylor Fudge and Clara E. Pollard, Jeanette lived a life full of love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Theresa Ryan (David); her grandchildren, Melanie McGee (Martin) and Ellie Ryan; and her two beloved great-grandchildren, Oliver McGee and Emma McGee, who brought joy to her later years. She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Abell (Dennis) and Jimmy Fudge, who will continue to honor her legacy.

Jeanette was fortunate to have two amazing caregivers during her time of need: her niece, Rena Zanakis, and Alex Matika. Her family also extends heartfelt gratitude to The Pinnacle of Louisville for their exceptional care and compassion during Jeanette’s final days.

Visitation will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens West on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Jeanette’s life will follow at 2:00 pm, with burial afterward.

In honor of Jeanette’s memory, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Louisville, Kentucky, an organization close to their hearts.

Jeanette will be remembered for her kind spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the many lives she touched. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
