HARRIS, JERRY LEE, 78, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012.

Jerry was a retired Jefferson County Police Officer with 27 years of service, a charter member of the FOP Lodge 14, and a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is preceded in death by daughter, Susan Harris; parents, Virgil and Madge Harris and brother; Jim Harris; brother-in-law, Bob Heer.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Harris; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth Harris; and grandchildren, Drew and Danielle Harris; sister, Betty Jo Heer; and sister-in-law, Earlene Harris.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy. There will be a FOP service 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial in Memorial Gardens Louisville West.
