Jerry Helwig

HELWIG, JERRY B., 77, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.

Jerry was a retired corporate lawyer for GE, a past president of Hunting Creek Country Club, past chairman of the City of Glenview Manor, past president of Bowling Green University Alumni Association, a Kentucky Colonel, an avid bowler and golfer. He was recently honored for his outstanding timeless service to the membership and success of Hunting Creek Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, the former Pauline Landis; his son, Bruce (Julia) Helwig; his daughter, Janice Helwig; brothers, James (Terry) and Richard (Leslie) Helwig; beloved grandchildren, Landon and Breland Helwig.

His sister, Judith Dudash, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. Private burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.

Expressions of sympathy may go to either Kosair Children's Hospital or Home of the Innocents.
