GOWEN, JESSE N., 82, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the Sts Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
Jesse was a native of Columbia, KY, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict, a retired maintance/machinist with Phillip Morris Tobacco Co. for 40 years. He was also a member of Dixie Post # 220 and served on the board of directors.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Marian E. (Keith) Gowen; nine nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial gifts: Disabled American Veterans.
