Jessie D. "J.D." Hook HOOK, JESSIE D. "J.D.," 88, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2010.
He retired from General Electric after 35 years of service, was a Mason, a Kentucky Colonel, an Air Force veteran, an Army veteran of World War II and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Oma Jolly Hook, two brothers, James "Jim" Hook, and Charles "Babe" Hook; and one sister, Madeline Spencer.
He is survived by his son, Gary D. Hook (Cyndi); two daughters, Carolyn Sue "Susie" Carter (James) and Deborah Lynn "Debbie" Stone; grandchildren, Terry and Crystal Risinger, Michelle Sullivan, Kevin R. and Brian C. Peavey, Danielle L. Thompson, Nicole D. and Dylan B. Hook; brother, Woody Hook; sister, Dorothy Jo Hartman; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Thursday.
