PERKINS, JESSE LEWIS, 80, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on April 12, 2010.
He served in the U.S. Navy for four years, and retired from Louisville Gas and Electric with 38 years of service. He was a member of the Ninth & O Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Ruth Perkins; two brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mildred (Millie) Davenport Perkins; daughter, Trudy (Eddie) Watkins; son, Barry (Linda) Perkins; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Road, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Thursday. Please visit our website: www.archlheadywestport.com
