VAUGHT, JOANN BROYLES, 81, of Louisville, passed away Thursday morning.
She was born March 1, 1930 in Plato, KY, daughter of the late William and Ada Goff Broyles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Vaught; a sister, Ethel A. Broyles; two brothers, Cloyd "Buddy" Densmore Broyles and William "Jack" Broyles, Jr.
She was a member of Northeast Christian Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 62 years, Joe Robert Vaught; a daughter, Marilu Karpinsky (Ron); two grandsons, Jay Karpinsky (Michelle) and Alan Karpinsky; three brothers, James Monroe (Bernice) Broyles, Harry Addison (Shirley) Broyles and Hollis Brent (Judy) Broyles; four sisters, Estella Louise Broyles Gallenstein, Betty Mae Broyles (Edwin) Stockdale, Donna Sue Broyles (James O.) Burdine and Jerry Rae Broyles (Charles Louis) Dick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens East at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2012.
