CRUSH, JOSEPH E. JR., 79, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, graduate of St. Xavier Class of 1950, Knights of Columbus Bishop Spaulding Council 4th degree, Kentucky Colonel, Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, VFW post #1170 and American Legion Post #201. Joe retired from the Ford Motor Company Kentucky Truck Plant and Crush Texaco Service Stations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gladys Crush, and a brother, Charles J. Crush Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dolores A. "Peggy" Crush; sons, Stephen (Judy), Mark (Gale) and Joe (Cindy) Crush; and eight much loved grandchildren, Katie, Caryn, Christi, Amanda, Mary, Kelley, Alan, and Andrew Crush; sister-in-law, Mary Crush; brother-in-law, Don Van Meter; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Joe's life will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Lane, with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be 2-8 Wednesday at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road.
