Johanna McAdams

SHELBYVILLE - McAdams, Johanna M., 85, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Louisville. A native of Louisville, she had been employed by the state of Kentucky as a legal secretary and was also a former financial secretary at First Baptist Church of Somerset. She was a former member of the Shelby Christian Church where she had been active in the Women of Grace Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Masonic Home Handbell Choir and she enjoyed cross-stitching and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William G. McAdams.

She is survived by her daughter, Emily Lois (Ron) of Waddy; her son, David Glenn McAdams (Teresa) of Henderson; her grandchildren, Melissa Ann McAdams McHagan (Buddy) of Louisville, Jason Michael Lois (LeaAnn) of Shelbyville, and Lindsay Elaine McAdams of Henderson; and great-grandchildren, Bentley Reighn Lois of Shelbyville and Georgia Ann McHagan of Louisville.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at the Shannon Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse Baxter officiating. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Louisville Memorial Gardens East.

Expressions of sympathy: National Multiple Sclerosis Society; Masonic Home Handbell Choir; or Hosparus.
