ARKENAU, JOHN J., 80, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
He retired from Electrical Worker's Union Local 369 and was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church where he was a member of the Senior Club. He was also a member of St. Joseph Orphanage Society and was an avid UK fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Louise Arkenau.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou Burkhardt-Arkenau and many other family and friends.
His funeral Mass will be held at noon on Wednesday at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace, followed by entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Joseph Orphanage or to WHAS Crusade for Children.
