BERG, JOHN K., 78, passed away Thursday March 3, 2011 at his home.
He was the owner of the old PRP office supply and worked for Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. John was a retired 20 year master sergeant of the US Army, veteran of both Korea and Vietnam wars. He was a life member of Millcreek VFW Post #5421 and chairman of the old Apache Boy Scout District for seven years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Caroline A. (Rimer) Berg; his mother, Mary Vanasse; and sister, Deanna Shoup.
He is survived by his four daughters, Marie Perry (Gary), Kathleen Allamon (Dennis), Doreen Couch (Roger) and Rebecca Schmitt (Jamie); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, William Berg; and sister, Judith Ploof.
His service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is Sunday, 2-8 p.m.
