John Cheney Sr

John E. Cheney, Sr., husband to the late Lucille (Turner) Cheney, passed away on Thursday August 2, 2018. He was born to the late Clifford and Florence (Heil) Cheney in Louisville on September 11, 1929.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Cheney and 5 siblings.
John retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years and was a member of UAW Local 862. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He loved gardening and shared his tomatoes with friends and neighbors. He was a Catholic by faith.
He is survived by children, John Cheney, Jr. (Sherry), Lindy Forman (Mike), Wayne Cheney, J. T. Cheney (Kristy), and Jake Cheney along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 7:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, please bring school supplies to be donated to local schools for children in need.
