John Edward Churchman Jr. Share E-mail Visit Guest Book CHURCHMAN, JOHN EDWARD JR., 74, of Valley Station, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009.
John was retired from Brown & Williamson and was a thoroughbred horse trainer stabled at Churchill Downs. He was also an avid golfer and will be missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, the former Joyce Powell; sons, Larry (Teri), John (Debbie) and Gary Churchman (Debbie); stepchildren, Denise Bagwell, Warren Goodman (Sarah), Mark Goodman, Perry Goodman (Doreen); brother, Richard Churchman (Roberta); 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral: noon Friday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd. Burial: Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 1-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
