John Cronen

CRONEN, JOHN J. "JACK" SR., 89, of Louisville, passed away April 19, 2014 at his residence He was a retired dispatcher and truck driver for both Silver Fleet and Mason-Dixon Truck Lines, a member of Teamsters Local 89, American Legion Portland Post 278 and Shawnee VFW Post 3204. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving proudly on Omaha Beach on D-Day. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Emma Cronen Sr.; son Michael,; sister Catherine Amos and brothers, Charles Donald, George and Thomas Cronen. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years the former Margaret H. Mills; sons, John J. Jr. (Elizabeth) and Donald R. Cronen; daughters, Carol A. Cronen, Cheryl L. Shircliff (Steven), Margaret "Margie" H. Fultz and Diane L. Graham; brother, James Cronen; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be noon Monday at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road. Burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.- noon Monday.
