John Farmer

Farmer,
John L., 74, husband of the late Juanita Bolton Farmer, died Sunday October 30, 2011 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
Born in Elkhorn, Ky. he is the son of the late Jess W. & Floetta Whitaker Farmer. Mr. Farmer was retired from Pillsbury General Mills and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was also an avid fisherman and UK fan.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Farmer.
Mr. Farmer is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kress and son- in-law Edward; sister, Doris Sidebottom; and brother Edison Farmer; his granddaughter, Sarah, also survives.
A service celebrating Mr. Farmer's life will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. A gathering of family and friends will be held 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home until service time.
