Hobbs, John Ralph "J. R." View/Sign Guest Book HOBBS, JOHN RALPH "J.R.," 80, of Louisville, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008. He was the owner and operator of John R. Hobbs & Sons Concrete Construction Co., and a member of the former St. Timothy Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Wayne Hobbs, his parents, Henry and Mary Hobbs, and his sisters, Anna Stull and Mary Frances Dunn. Survivors include his devoted wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Pike Hobbs; his children, Marvin L. Hobbs (Carla), Cheryl Bundrant (Barry), Michael L. Hobbs (Janet), Denise Hobbs, Sheila Drake, Terry Taylor (Gil) and Tish Hobbs (Craig Wilson); 13 grandchildren, Chad, Beth, Bradley, Kim, Brandy, Todd, Jason, Stephanie, Shawn, Brandon, Tiffany, Steven, and Jeremy; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Louis E. "Red" and James Marvin Hobbs; and sisters, Judy Reed and Martina Repstock. His funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, 10801 Deering Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 5 -9 p.m. Wednesday and 1 -9 p.m. Thursday. Memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus or Alzheimers Assoc.
