John R. Jeffries JEFFRIES, JOHN R., 82, passed away April 22, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.
Mr. Jeffries was a World War II Navy veteran.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Aubrey and Sherman William Jeffries Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Yarniwaty Jeffries; daughters, Leilani Jeffries and her fiancé, Troy Wooten, Sherry DeVore (Monty), Ellya Robello (Bob); sons, Steve Jeffries and Scott Jeffries (Velma); sisters, Helen Anderson and Yvonne Bain (Stanley); brother, Roland Jeffries; and sisters-in-law, Sheila Jeffries and Hilda Jeffries; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral service celebration of John's life will be 11 a.m. Monday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Monday.
