John Masterson

Masterson, John,90, of West Point, KY , peacefully passed away at Jewish Hospital on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Henrietta Masterson; sisters, Doris Baldridge, Mattile Decker, May Dee Harper, Ruth Masterson; brothers, Albert, William and Fred Masterson.He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Hilda; daughters, Lisa (Jeffrey) Elmore, Clarksville, TN, Kara(John) Haughtigan, Bowling Green, KY; four grandchildren, Holly Gertin, Nicholas Elmore, Christopher Haughtigan, Alexander Haughtigan; great-granddaughter,Skye Gertin and many nieces and nephews.He was a World War II veteran. He retired from General Electric after 36 years and was a graduate of U of L. Memberships include West Point Baptist Church andThe American Legion Post #148. He was an avid fisherman and fan of U of L basketball. He will be greatly missed.His service will be on Friday, 12 noon, at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Services with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
