SANDERS, JOHN L., 74, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013.
Mr. Sanders was born in Kyrock, KY. He retired as a plant supervisor for American Synthetic Rubber Co. He was a member and past master of the Shivley Masonic Lodge #951, Scottish Rite, Kosair Shrine Temple and Wesley Chapel United Methodist. He was a graduate of the University Of Louisville, and an avid basketball fan who loved to golf and travel. He was always happy when he was able to spend time in the mountains.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lois Sanders.
He is survived by his daughter, Lois Jean O'Brien (Dean); son, John L. Sanders II (Becky); two grandchildren, Shannon Jean O'Brien, Aaron Logan O'Brien; and brother, Thomas Hart Sanders (Joy).
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private entombment at a later date in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
