John Sweeney

John Rylon Sweeney, 73, loving husband to Deborah (Berkley) Sweeney, passed away, surrounded by family at home on Tuesday April 6, 2021.  He was born to the late Wesley Rylon and Nellie Mae (Paul) Sweeney on January 19, 1948 in Louisville.  He is also preceded in death by his sister, Frankie Priddy, brother, Tom Sweeney and Leora Paul.

John was a retired draftsman for Louisville Gas & Electric and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.  John proudly served in the Army 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War 1968-1969.

Besides his wife of 48 years he is survived by their daughters, Stephanie Sweeney, and Amanda Lambert (Jake) along with grandson Rylon Lambert.

Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.  Funeral services will be private. The funeral service will be live streamed on Amanda's facebook page.

Due to COVID restrictions, masks are to be worn at all times, social distancing is expected, and sitting is limited.
