He was a native of Limestone County AL. He was a retired brick mason, worked also for the Civil Service and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He is Christian by faith. He is survived by his wife, the former Martha Jo Diuguid; his three children, Wayne Usery (Pat), of Alabama, Karen Daniels (Lowell), of Louisville and Ronnie Usery of Louisville; two stepchildren, Paula Berry (Harold), of Cox Creek, KY and Robert Campbell, of Louisville; one sister, Bertha Wright of Alabama; three granddaughters from Alabama; two grandchildren, of Louisville; one step granddaughter, of Louisville; five great-grandchildren of Alabama; four great grandchildren, of Louisville; one step- great-granddaughter, of Louisville; one great-great-grandson, of Alabama; and Harold Wade, Angela Nash and their children of Louisville. His funeral will be noon Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: noon-9 p.m. Wednesday.
