Hosch, Deacon Jon Edward View/Sign Guest Book HOSCH, DEACON JON EDWARD, 73, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather and cherished friend of many. Jon was a retired chief management officer for the Department of Defense at Ft. Knox, KY, where he worked for 28 years. He was an ordained Deacon (1981) with the Archdiocese of Louisville, serving 26 years with St. Polycarp and St. Lawrence Catholic Churches. He was also a Kentucky Colonel, an Army veteran, serving in Germany during the Korean conflict and was active in the Catholic Cursillo program during the 1970's. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Catherine Hosch; and brother, Richard Hosch. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rose Marie (Stich) Hosch; daughters, Chris Winders (Chris), Terri Hunter (Tim), Jo Erwin (Jim) and Karen Reynolds (Chris); grandchildren, Danielle (Jordon), Brittany, Erin, Whitney, Jessica, Ben, Jacob and Nathan. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, 7718 Columbine Drive, with entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Friday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons-Southwest, 4832 Cane Run Road. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Polycarp Catholic Church.
