Joseph Carter

Carter, Joseph C.,90, of South Louisville passed from this life on Friday January 16, 2015 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. A native of Nashville, TN, he was a retired employee of the old National Distillers, a member of Valley Station Baptist Church, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lora Carter; and a son, Theodore Kessinger. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Donna Evanoff and Ruby Grubbs; a son, William Carter; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. A service to celebrate Mr. Carter's life will be held at 10 am Tuesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Interment with military honors will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
