HUGHELL, JOSEPH CECIL, 80, died July 12, 2011 at Hosparus of Louisville.
He was born and raised in Barberton, OH, December 29, 1930, to MaryLou Ethel (Pugh) Hughell and John M. Hughell. After serving in the Coast Guard and the U.S. Army, he became a postal carrier and retired in 1985. Joe was a member of the Masonic Suburban Lodge #740 F&AM Grotto Aahmed, and VFW Post 6182. Joe was a kind and caring soul and had a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Vera "Vicki" (Duso) Hughell; and his brothers, John Jr. and James Hughell.
He is survived by his sister, Josephine Macko of Barberton; his niece, Debbie Harp (David), of Louisville; two stepdaughters, Tammy Frymire (Danny) and Sharon Rochester (Rick); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Friday, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
