Josephine (Smith) Logsdon
Josephine Smith Logsdon was born December 17, 1927, and passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY. Mrs Logsdon was married to Jack B. Logsdon, who died in 2002. She is survived by her son, Keith Logsdon of Lakeside Park, KY; two daughters, Cheryl Mayer of Cox's Creek, KY, and Amy Hansen of Bloomington, IL; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She retired from her position as librarian at the Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women in 1984. She spent much of her time volunteering with the Red Cross, the Gideons, and the Bill Glass Prison Ministries.
Her funeral service will be 1:00pm Thursday at Northeast Christian Church, 9900 Old Brownsboro Road, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be 10:00am - 1:00pm Thursday at Northeast Christian Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Arch L Heady & Son Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Road.
