Webster, Juanita Coy View/Sign Guest Book WEBSTER, JUANITA COY, was called by God on February 20, 2009, to take her to the heavenly home he has long prepared for her. She died at Wesley Manor Retirement Home after a long and disabling state of health. She was born on April 13, 1925, in Louisville, KY, and graduated from Louisville Girls High School in 1942. Juanita served her country well during World War II as a traffic manager, shipping entire hospital units overseas from the old Louisville Medical Depot and Atlanta, GA, and as a financial clerk at Fort Knox Military Base. After retirement from federal civil service, she worked as a receptionist for Jefferson County Board of Education and retired from that position. She was a long-time member of Highview Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star, life member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Louisville Girls High School Alumni Club and Homemakers Club. Juanita was a "people-person"- she loved people and they loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Webster; her mother and father, Shirley and Thelma Cole Coy; and an infant brother. She is survived by special friends, Norma and Floyd Shoemaker who cared for her, Marie Newman and Pam and Ron Boyd. She was "Aunt Coy" to the children of these friends. We who love her express our very special thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at Wesley Manor for their excellent care and support. We also thank members of Hosparus for their compassionate care during her last days. Her funeral is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday. Expressions of sympathy: Hosparus.
