Judith "Judy" Coomer

Judith “Judy” Lathery Coomer, 78, passed away on January 20, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 25, 1943 in Rushville, Indiana, and resided in Louisville, Kentucky since age five. She retired from Mother’s Cookies in 2007 after 25 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Virginia (Self) Lathery, one brother Larry Lee Lathery, and husband Winston C. Coomer, Sr. She is survived by three children, Marty Gleason, Scott (Lisa) Moss and Donna Renee Hill; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a special companion, Alton Gardner. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, crocheting, going to the lake, going out to eat, watching television, listening to music and collecting dolls. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home.
