Kathleen Emmett

Kathleen Ann Emmett, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022.  She was born on April 24, 1951, to the late Carl and Patricia (Lamb) Fife.

Left behind to cherish the memories of Kathy’s life is her loving husband, William Emmett; her daughter, Tracy Emmett (Bryan); her son, Timothy Emmett; her grandsons, Alexander, Xavier and Maxwell Popp; her granddaughter, Dakota Emmett (Mikey); her great grandson, Grayson; her brothers, David Fife (Debbie) and Danny Fife (Joyce); her sister, Connie Fife; along with many other beloved extended family members.

Kathleen was blessed at a young age to meet the love of her life, William, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary on September 9, 2022.  Together, they raised their children in a home full of love and generosity.  Kathy’s family was the center of her life, and she took great joy in doting on her grandchildren, especially in this last year with being blessed with her great grandson, Grayson.  She was a great friend and could always be counted on.  Kathy loved the sunshine, visiting casinos and most of all enjoyed spending time with her husband.  She was an amazingly strong woman, never letting anything get her down.  Kathy was a fighter and put up one hell of a fight.  She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Funeral services to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home West, 4400 Dixie Highway, with Larry Higginbotham officiating.  Interment will be private at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery West. Friends may call on the family Monday, October 3, from 1 until 7 at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 11 until service time.
