STUTZENBERGER, KATHERINE LURTON, 79, of Louisville, passed away August 14, 2009 at Baptist Hospital East.
She was the former Katherine Lurton, born in Lexington, KY, she graduated from U of L School of Music in 1955, was a violinist in the Louisville Orchestra from 1947 to 1994 and was an employee of the Louisville Public Library Radio Station WFPK, Classic Music Division from 1957- 1982.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Kenneth Stutzenberger.
Surviving her is her sister, Alleine Lurton Schroyens; brother-in-law, Raymond Schroyens; niece, Ann Kathleen Schroyens of Belgium, and nephew, Daniel Edward Schroyens of London, UK.
Her funeral service will at 10 a.m. Friday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Highlands.
