Kenneth Smith Sr

Kenneth W. Smith, Sr. 96, passed away on October 30, 2012 with his family by his side.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, of 72 years.
He is survived by his four children, Barbara DeHart (Mac), Sandra McDonald, Cheryl Reams, and Kenneth W. Smith, Jr. (Travis Block); 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Ken was a graduate of DuPont Manual and U of L with a Masters Degree in chemistry. He established Louisville Testing Laboratory over 50 years ago. He reported the 1968 winner of the Kentucky Derby, Dancers Image, as having an illegal drug, which disqualified the horse as the winner. He was a former member of the Audubon Country Club and was twice club champion in golf. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends and each summer enjoyed their camp on the river.
