Laura Davis

Laura L. Davis (Markwell), 78, wife to the late Winfrey "Junior" Davis, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday August 8, 2018. She was born to the late William K. and Ida M. (Allen) Markwell on June 16, 1940. She is also preceded in death by her son Kevin Davis; brother, Carl E. Markwell and step-mother Martha E. Markwell.
Laura was a daycare worker for 30 years for Valleyview Baptist Church Child Development Center, was a member of Louisville Baptist Temple, Valley Women's Club and of The Red Hat Society.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Brenda Davis, and Stephanie Davis, sister Betty "Penny" Markwell, grandchildren, Joseph Mann, Kristin Mann, and Faith Davis, and yet-to-be-born great-granddaughter, Reign Elizabeth.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 6:00 pm at Louisville Baptist Temple, 8407 Candleworth Drive, Louisville, KY 40214 with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1-6 pm at the church.
