She was born in Jefferson County, KY to W.A. and Nellie (Smith) Williams.
She was a retired machine operator at the old Alcan Aluminum Corp. and a past member of the American Legion # 220 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Bowling.
Survivors include a son, Terry Basham; grandson, Bob Basham; two great grandchildren, Jacob Everett and Emma Lee Basham; and one sister, Blanche L. Wilderson.
Mrs. Bowling's wishes were that no services be held. Arrangements: Owen Funeral Home, Dixie Highway Expressions
